TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM

360 Venture Law understands that current technology can increase efficiency in the delivery of legal services. We are technology counselors as well as power users. Unfortunately, many traditional law firms have been slow to adopt certain productivity tools that we have already deployed.

  • Digital Document Imaging. Advanced scanning, digital imaging and word processing capability.
  • Extranet for secure client document access. Our clients are able to go to a special password protected section of our web site (called "360workspaces") and download copies of current documents such as board minutes, transaction closing binders, form sales agreements, even legal how to’s and FAQ’s. All this is done pursuant to your set of permission requirements for your team members.
  • Paperless Fax. We no longer depend on the centralized fax machine on the 18th floor. All faxes routed to our lawyers are delivered to the computer desktop in PDF format ready to be saved by client and matter number and forwardable to any applicable parties.
  • Document Management and Storage. Our document management is redundantly stored on local hard drives and in our service providers bank certified data center. This allows our attorneys to work anywhere in the world that there is an internet connection and have instantaneous access to the entire library of firm work product and the specific client files.
  • Increased use of Adobe Acrobat™, PDF file format to secure documents and control versions.
  • Supplementation of research library through increased use of on-line and other electronic resources.
  • Infrastructure. All of our lawyers have state of the art laptop computers, broadband Internet connections at home and office, standard and specialized software applications and of course mobile phones with email and internet capabilities. Dependable, state-of-the-art communications capability, wireless, high speed, secure and efficient.
  • What is a Virtual Closing Binder? How many law firms or other professional service firms can do this? We recently closed a venture finance transaction. We set up an extranet site where the client’s board of directors can access secure company documents. We used high resolution scanners and Adobe Acrobat™ (digital image software) to create a virtual closing binder complete with copies of all the signed originals in a single bookmarked and annotated personal document format (PDF) file. Everyone involved was given the option of receiving the closing binder on a CD ROM, by accessing the 360workspace (extranet), having the PDF file emailed to them or receiving a snail mail delivery of the traditional telephone book sized bound closing binder.
