SUSAN A. HARMAN


Ms. Harman, partner and Managing Director of Strategy and Marketing, is directly responsible for helping companies with acceleration, strategic consulting and market optimization initiatives.

She is a a technology savvy marketing and strategy executive with a proven track record of innovation, results and success that spans over 20 years in the high technology industry. Her experience encompasses all areas of strategic and tactical marketing including product management, marcom, PR, product marketing, lead generation, positiioning, direct marketing, business plans, and more. She has successfully marketed a broad array of software, hardware and services (desktop PC, client/server, Web, ASP, host) including: Internet and eCommerce, call center, ERP, groupware, CRM, SFA, accounting, word processing, database, graphics, wireless and more. Her marketing efforts have spanned a range of both horizontal (small, middlemarket and F1000) and vertical marketis, including financial, distribution, manufacturing, healthcare, utility, technology, consumer, education, recruitment, and call center markets.

Prior to joining 360 Ventures, Susan was the founder and CEO of Xcel Ventures, an accelerator and services provider for technology companies. Prior that she was the CEO and co-founder of Greenmachine, an incubator for technology companies. In less than a year it was ranked by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as the #2 private incubator in Atlanta. In the role of providing consulting services, her clients have included: Attachmate, Dun & Bradstreet Software, Oracle, Ross Systems, Peachtree Software, One Web Technologies, WebTone, Sevista, Call Center Technologies, INPUT Market Research, MiracleWorkers.com, The Nurses Lounge, TouchWorx, Phoenix Development Group, Process Technology Solutions, 2Order.com, ComputerJobs.com, Qualitative Marketing, Noble Systems, Iterated Systems, Mervyns, Davidson Capital and others.

Ms. Harman has also been employed as a Marketing Executive at numerous start-up and F1000 companies in Boston, Silicon Valley, and Atlanta: Apple Computer, Data General, Honeywell, National Data Corporation, Harbinger, Syntellect, Sevista, Melita (now eShare), Masterpack, Software Publishing Corporation and Microcom. As an executive at Apple Computer for nearly five years, she managed a business markets department that was responsible for $600 million in revenue. Susan was considered Apple's expert on the small business market and was a speaker at numerous industry conferences, including speaking at the White House. During this time she co-founded the Software Publisher's Association Marketing SIG and spoke at industry events, including pre-Comdex boot camps, Apple Business Forums and SBA conferences. During her five years at Software Publishing Corporation (the developers of the leading PFS and Harvard brands of software) she was a key management team member whose efforts directly contributed to one of Silicon Valley's first successful software company IPO's. She was responsible for overall product management and marketing, she created several "first of their kind marketing programs" in the software industry that contributed to several million dollars in incremental revenue, and negotiated OEM partnerships with virtually every major industry player at the time (Sony, IBM, Tandy, McGrawHill, AT&T, Mitsubishi and others).

Susan graduated with a B.S. from Vassar College, and attended the Babson College MBA program.

Susan has recently co-authored the book, Digital Handshake, Finding Revenue in New Relationships, published by the ASAE, and available on Amazon.com.
